Grant Application Guide

STEP ONE - Funding Opportunity Announcement


Funding Opportunity This is the primary stage of the application process. Recipients are notified of funding opportunities via postal mail, telephone-related communication or email. The receipient is free to request further information or clarification regarding funding. This is a privileged (personal) notification and should be treated as such.

STEP TWO - Provision for Additional Info


Following a request from a potential recipient, the grants agency at its discretion provides additional information regarding funding. This information explains the basic requirements, restriction and scope of funding. The grants agency is obliged to provide further information on eligibity especially as it relates to age and purpose of funding. Funding Opportunity

STEP THREE - Expression of Interest


Funding Opportunity Upon receipt of further information from the grants agency, the potentential recipient provides the request information as a follow up - hereby expressing interest to proceed with the application. Expression of Interest must be voluntary and genuine. Although grant funds are free, accountability is of utmost importance.

STEP FOUR - Invitation to Apply


When the agency receives a follow up from the potential recipient - in form of an expression of interest, the agency issues an invitation to apply by providing the application link. The online application link is a full-stack portal that automates the application process from start to finish. Recipients should ensure that information entered in application form is accurate at time of submission. Funding Opportunity

STEP FIVE - ID Document Validation


Funding Opportunity Once the online application is completed, the receipient waits for the application to be accepted by application moderators. If accepted, the applicant is notified and required to complete the mandatory ID Document upload/validation.

STEP SIX - Proposal Submission


Following the ID validation is a submission of Grant Proposal document. This document should explain in summary, the purpose of the grant as well as estimated breakdown of proposed funding components. It should not exceed five pages. This document will be reviewed by the approving board. Funding Opportunity

STEP SEVEN - Application Review/Approval


Funding Opportunity The approval board will only review applications with clear ID Validation and approve proposals that meet the scope and goal of our funding. Successful recipients will be notified as soon as their grant application is approved.

STEP EIGHT - Validate Financial Information


Upon approval of grant application, the recipient is notified and encouraged to validate their financial information for payout via the portal. It is the recipient's responsibility to ensure that information provided at this point is accurate at time of validation. Funding Opportunity

STEP NINE - Initiate Payout


Funding Opportunity This is the final stage of the process. The recipient's financial infromation is obtained and payout process begins. Payouts usually completes within seven days from time of initiation. The grant accountability team will keep in touch with successful recipients to get regular updates on project progress.
